This is a beautiful 2-story area with windows overlooking the horizon. There’s a bar here so you can get a cocktail while you’re enjoying the views, reading a book, or playing a game of chess. Mamsen’s is also here which is somewhere you can get some breakfast or lunch options as well. Decks 3-6 are where the majority of the cabins are on the Viking Mars. The machines are free to use, although they might be a bit confusing.

These decks have some nice lounge chairs along with a little putt-putt, bocci ball, shuffleboard, and other fun games. My 270 square-foot deluxe veranda stateroom is a vision of blue and beige. A king-sized bed with padded striped headboard is dressed with luxury 100% cotton Debella linens, and an ample closet is tucked into the far corner. I may view movies, live TV, the ship’s restaurant menus and my personal daily schedule on the 42” flat screen TV while sipping a beverage from the mini bar stocked with snacks and soft drinks or a coffee from my Nespresso machine.

It’s actually pretty easy to completely miss this area, even though you may pass by it many times during your cruise. On the opposite end of Deck 7, Aquavit Terrace doubles as an al-fresco dining space and pool area.
